To all the boys I Loved and love
i was asked to create 4 art pieces using different styles with a module (a letter J on the top right corner). This piece was also made using procreate in the style art Deco. Art deco is famous for their elegant simplicity and beautiful women. With the 80s hairstyle and the popular backless dress, the girl looks like she is love-struck. I drew flowers and plants growing around her to show how love is and how it grows over time. Around her arms are lines to express the powerful feeling that she holds inside. So with the title, I wanted to make this piece a little bit more interesting, divided into two, the top part conveys initials of someone I love while the bottom part consists initials of boys I loved before. You can see this through the heart in the top area (above the separating lines in the middle) is filled/colored and the ones on the bottom are empty (symbolizing “LOVED”). Moreover, from the word “Love” I drew lines that flowed and showed the heart’s movement to that ended on her shoulder. For bottom part, although there are flowers, yet I drew lines that showed how they’re smelly in some sort through the curly lines and little Xs. There is also an arrow pointing upwards to show that the one that is important is the one on the top part. I loved making this piece as both yellow and navy are my favorite colors. I like making those little intricate patterns and thinking how I can disguise the initials into the artwork. I am so happy and satisfied of how it turned out!
