Tea Project
From tasting certain types of tea, we were asked to create artworks based on our senses. What we see, taste, feel, and smell. I chose caramel tea. From all that was felt and sensed, I came up with this piece of work. A woman resting on the bright and beautiful castle on a glass of tea with floating caramel. Her hair colored like caramel, flowing with a wood-like texture with little flowers stuck on her hair. With a calm sleeping expression, I try to deliver how calm and cozy it felt right when the burst of sweet and warm aroma hits your nose. Delicate little flowers and a wood-like texture without a doubt should be in the artwork. They would represent the tea and also the earthy feeling to it. A picture of a little colorful elegant castle came to mind after distinguishing the floral-like fragrance from the tea to portray the glorious mixture of the aromas. The castle is colored with a playful and sweet kind of way which kinds of reminds me of a chocolate castle I once saw when I was little.
